The Club

Club Update

This pre-season has seen a lot of activity at the Windygates club. Jimmy Mitchell has once again assumed command of the team along with Kenny Haley and their coaching team. Bobby Wardlaw has joined the coaching team this season. Several players have chosen to move on and we wish them the very best for the future. We have added to the squad by signing some young players from local youth teams as well as a couple of more experienced players.

Dale Gardner has taken over from Larry Monoghan as chairman this season. We would like to thank Larry for all his hard work over the years and hope he enjoys his more leisurely position at the club. Dale stepped down as manager after 13 years. Dales first job in his new role was to invite Moir Ferguson and Stevie Welch onto the committee.

    Re-joined in 2009 after a few years at Lochgelly Albert.

    Joined as a defender many seasons ago after enjoying his senior playing days.

    Cas played at several junior clubs before joining the vale as Goalkeeper many years ago.

  • Bobby Wardlaw

    Bobby re-joined the vale this season, he previously played for the vale as a defender for several years.

    Dale becomes Chairman this year after standing down as Manager of the club for 13 years.

    Douglas has been club secretary for many, many years and continues to do a great job.

  • Stevie Welch

    The Vale welcomes Stevie to the club for his first year with us.

  • Moir Ferguson

    Moir joins the club along with stevie helping bolster the committee side of things.

  • Shug Hamilton


    Shug has been with the club for several years and continues to show his support.

  • John Murie

    Scone is a legend at the Vale and will play an important role with the club this season. Playing and member of the committee.

  • Larry Monoghan


    Larry has officially stepped down as chairman this season after holding the title for many years. Larry continues to be an important figure at the club.
