Eastvale 3-0 Doune Castle

The vale took on a strong Doune Castle AFC from the Caledonian League. Vale started the brighter of the two and won an early corner from the right which S. Reid drilled hard and low for B.Winnto slip into the bottom corner. A second goal was to come later from a header from W. Kerr. The second half continued with the same sort of pressure from vale. A good long ball however, from A. Archibald to G. Ramsay on the right who took on two defenders before squaring the ball to the vale's youngest player J. Allan to tap home from four yards. The game ended 3-0 and the Walter Glendinning Haulage Trophy remains at Windygates.

Steins Thistle 1-2 Eastvale
Cambusbarron 3-3 Eastvale (3-4 pens Eastvale win)

Vale won their first match of the tournament against much fancied Steins Thistle 2-1 with goals from B. Winnand the winner from Tuckerafter Steins had gone ahead with a disputed early goal for offside in five minutes. Vale traveled back to Cambusbarron for the final against Cabusbarron who had been the victors against Breahead AFC by three goals to two. Vale went in at half time 3-1 with goals from B. Winn and Tucker, however, the second half Cambusbarron brought back the score to 3-3 pushing the game into penalties. Vale took charge and won their second trophy with goals from G. Kinnear, A. Archibald, G. Ramsay and the winner from P. Martin. Final score 4-3 on penalties.
