Eastvale travelled to Strathmiglo in fine spirits to continue their impressive unbeaten run.
Both teams were hampered by call-offs, injuries and suspensions so were down to the bare bones.

The visitors started the game well playing some good passing moves pressing the home side onto the back foot. Eastvale created some scrappy half chances but it was Beau who was to find the net first with a defensive mix up allowed the winger to nip in and knock the ball in.
Eastvale continued to mix the play up with some Long passes and some great to watch short play. The home side were to benefit shortly after from the ref’s mistake to spot any one of three Strath players clearly in an offside position attacking the goal. Gardner was left exposed with the Strath Midfielder bearing down on him at an angle with options to his right if he chose. He decided to hammer the ball low past Gardner’s near post to level the game at 1-1.
Eastvale were dealt another blow when the ref, (to everyone’s dismay), decided to send off Armitt for a seemingly nothing incident. The visitors would need to play nearly 70Min’s with one less man.

Second half and Eastvale came out of the traps with some intention of winning the match. Chances came and went for Vale with only half chances for the home side. The game ended 1-1 with Eastvale disappointed to come away from Strath with only a point from a win-able game.

It was cold and it rained, but Eastvale went about their task in a determined manner, a very scrappy start to the match but  once Vale settled and the first goal went in from Callum’s heed, it was all one way traffic. Take nowt away from Swifts they fought for every ball but Eastvale today just had that extra yard which propelled them onto this convincing win.

We completly dominated this game straight from the kick-off. After the game some of our die hard supporters exlaimed; “this performance was the best we have seen all season“.

Started the game playing up the hill against a strong wind. Played some nice football and took a 2-nil lead into half time.
Second half continued in the same vain with some pretty effective football. We scored another two in this half to leave Treaton Park 4-0 winners.

Cheers…

Our roving reporter is taking a well earned break this weekend so you will just have to do with this rather sparse report.

Vale started the game in good spirits and quickly created sun very good chances that were spurrned. The first goal came early in the half when some great individual work by Westwood played in Connolly down the right wing who then crossed the ball to Coull who on his second attempt fired the ball low under the goalie. Vale played well for the remainder of the half untill some indesisive goalkeeping by Gardner caused confusion which lead to the striker having the ball laid on a plate with an open goal. Just before the half time whistle Eastvale were awarded a penalty as the ref deemed the goalkeeper to have fouled Connolly inside the box. Andy Kirk dispatched the penalty with some conviction.

Half Time 2-1

Second half continued in the same vain with Eastvale creating great chance after great chance being unable to convert. My apologies for the third goal as i have forgot how it was scored but we scored the third and it was brilliant. The game was wrapped up midway through the half when Beau found some space outside the box, he decided to hit a shot which took a fortunate bounce over the keeper (who had it covered) into the top corner.
Eastvale continued to play the game out in the same manner creating lots of chances but the game ended 4-1.

Full Time 4-1

Eastvale: Gardner, Scone, Haley, Kennedy, Westwood, Connolly, Armitt, Douglas (McLeish), Beaumont, Millar (Coull), Kirk (Kerr).

Hopefully our reporter will be back for Tuesday’s game against Star Hearts.
