Winter hasn’t left us yet and with the wind blowing it was not a night for the faint hearted on and off the field. Eastvale made one change from Saturdays visit to Inverkeithing, for this encounter with Star Hearts, Westie replaced Willie Kerr at right Back with Beau starting in midfield. An evenly matched game with neither keeper having much to do in the first half, both teams had their chances but the finishing boots were left in the hoose.

Half Time: Star Hearts 0 Eastvale 0

Shooting down the hill in the second half, Vale started to create and find the spaces lacking in the first, Kenny and Eck were starting to bother the defence. A free kick from Ryan was met sweetly by callum, but a fantastic save from the Star keeper kept the scores level. Handbags were the order of the day shortly afterwards when the Star No9 was shown a straight red for a  tackle on Jamie Armit. Vale picked themselves and went for it, a lovely ball split the defence and found callum who controlled the ball well on a bumpy surface and sidefooted it past the Star keeper. Cas was called into action late on, after a quiet game, with a fine save pushing it past the post. Star pushed and pressurised the vale defence, who stood firm and another valuable 3 points secured.
