On a beautiful calm day, Eastvale were hopeful of making up for the result against Kettle last Thursday. Wholesale changes due to players with other commitments, young Danny got his first start and rewarded the decision with the opener 10 mins into the game, some great play from Callum whose cut back found danny and from 4 yards he placed it past the keeper. Vale looked great and full of confidence until a foul on the Vale keeper which was deemed ok by the ref, brought the scores level. This seemed to knock the stuffing out of vale. The half finished even with the home team coming more into game.
The second half carried on the same and when the home team were awarded a very soft free kick, it was rocketed past the vale wall into the top corner. The home side pulled further ahead with a cross ball which wasn’t cleared by the Vale defence and was duely put away, 3-1. Vale pulled one back from Callum, but another goal from the home team finished the game off at 4-2.
Both teams where reduced to 10 men for two bookable offences.
