We started this game well with good fast movement down the right wing, where a great cross from Andy Kirk was met by Kenny Miller who flicked it onto Bud Forrester at the back post. The Vale’s lead was short lived however when they found themselves behind after two sloppy defended goals.
Second half and it was kettle again who took the initiative with some great positive moves and some well finished goals. The first was a cut back that was finished well. The second of the half and fourth of the game was a long ball over the defence where the striker hit it early into the top corner to seal the game 4-1. Kettle missed a penalty late on but it wasn’t to prove vital.
