What a difference a few days make, Vale came out the traps with a more determined attitude and fought for every blade of grass on this excellent evening for a game of fitbaw. The only change to the starting 11 from Saturday was Westie brought in for the injured Douglas. Danny Coull started up-front with Kenny Millar. Vale continued the habit of starting the game well with some great movement and slick passing on a difficult surface. Jamie Armitt who was unmarked at the back post to dispatch the cross-field pass converted an early chance for Vale. Vale pummelled the Scotia defence with corner after corner it was only a matter of time before Vale increased their lead. With 7 mins to the end of the first half another cross ball from Ryan Kennedy was met, after some ricochets by the Scotia defence again by Jamie Armitt whose parabola header over the keeper put vale in a comfortable position before the end of the half.
The second half continued in the same vain with Vale pushing Scotia into their own half. An early chance was created after some brilliant interplay between Callum and Danny brought a fine save from the Scotia keeper. Scotia had some chances but Gardner between the Vale sticks and the Defence had a very comfortable evening.
With 15mins to go Kerion and the long awaited return of Baz Winn were introduced to shore up the defence. The pair helped take a welcomed 3pts from a well-organized and determined Balgonie Scotia.
Final Score Balgonie Scotia 0-2 Eastvale
Vale: Gardner, Kerr, Kennedy, Scone (Winn), Westwater (Marsh), Forrester, Armitt, Connelly, Coull(Allan), Miller .
