Eastvale travelled north to Perth for the Kingdom League clash with Fair City.
Once again Vale were forced to make wholesale changes at the back, Willie Kerr playing an unfamiliar role at right back, Scone again filling in at left back with Stuart McLeish and debutant John Westwater thrusted together in the middle. Our other debutant Kenny Miller played up front alongside veteran Jamie Allan. Midfield unchanged with Bud, Jamie Armitt, Beau and Callum.

In the first half Fair City had the majority of possession but it was Vale who went about their business with a high level of concentration keeping Fair City at bay with some well organised defending. No quarter was given or asked for with each bone crunching challenge and when Jamie Armitt hit the post earlier on after some positive movement from the away side you knew it was only a matter of time before one would be converted. The game roared from end to end and when Callum broke on the right wing, he fired a delightful ball eluding the defence to find Jamie Armitt ghosting in at the back post to put 1-0 up. The half continued with Fair City creating chances but Gardner in the Vale Goal was never really tested. With half time approaching Callum tried a shot from just inside the box which came back off a defender and cannoned back of Callum and nestled in the net.

Half Time Fair City 0-2 Eastvale

The Second half was a different story with Eastvale controlling the majority of the play, creating chance after chance with Kenny Millar coming close on a few occasions and was unlucky not to score but it just wasn’t to be today, but still, a superb shift was put in by the new No.9. The Vale defence held firm with Willie Kerr and Scone rolling back the years to put in solid confident performances with Westie letting himself be heard and another solid debut. Andy Kirk was introduced into the fray with Beau forced to take a well earned rest. The third goal came shortly after courtesy of a short corner between Willie Kerr and Andy Kirk which saw Willie float a cracker right onto Jamie Armitt’s head which he dually dispatched. Danny and Liam were introduced for Jamie Allan and Kenny Millar and it didn’t take them long to get involved. Some Lovely play between Liam, Andy and finally Danny who sent a lovely low pass to find Jamie Armitt at the back post again to give him his hat trick and Vale’s fourth.  Fair City where awarded an extremely soft penalty after Bud Forrester was alleged to have been holding.  Fair City dispatched the Penalty and the game petered out.

A great gusty performance and a better attitude from one and all which sent the Chairman on the long journey home smiling.

Perfect footballing conditions for this Kingdom League encounter with Bowhill Rovers. With a stack of injuries and suspensions, Vale juggled the back four with Mike Laing playing at right back, Scone filling the left back role with Stewart McLiesh and Ryan Kennedy through the middle.
Bowhill started the strongest with Eastvale scattered all over the place, Vale finally got over this hurdle, settled down and took the game to Bowhill with some positive moves.
Highlights of the first half were limited. first; a free kick to Bowhill was floated over from the right and a powerful header rattled the post before the rebound was fired straight at Gardner.Second; a fine move by Bowhill was met with a powerful strike which was pushed round the post by a fantastic one handed save by Steven Gardner.
As the half went on, Vale started to create spaces but chances were few and far between.

 Half Time 0-0

The second half was a more even affair with Bowhill creating the better of the chances. Vale brought on Willie Kerr for Stewart McLeish, Eck Douglas was moved back to centre half and young Liam Mitchell replaced Andy Kirk up front. approaching the end of the game Cas came on for the injured Eck douglas.
Vale’s best chance came deep into injury time, a throw in from Beau to Willie Kerr, who took the ball inside the defender and fired a shot which cannoned off the cross bar.

After a shaky start Vale got their shape together and fought for a hard earned point.

Full Time 0-0

At the 3rd attempt this Kingdom League tie finally went ahead on a very heavy pitch.

In fantastic surroundings this was a evenly matched encounter in the first half with both sides having their fair share of chances.

Kinross had the ball in the net but good positioning by the Ref ruled it offside.

A free kick from Ryan found  Jamie Armitt who’s glancing header just went past the post.

First Half Kinross 0 Eastvale 0

The second half went the same way with Kinross pressing earlier and soon found themselves 1-0 up.

Eastvale kept their heads up and two quick fire goals for Bud saw Eastvale nose in front and played the gamed out. A hard working performance from Eastvale with a valvuable 3 points in the bag.
