Glendale Plastics League
Six of the worst for hearts

ANY hope of third successive away win for star hearts were vanquished from the moment the first goal went in on the half-hour mark in this Glendale plastics League clash at Greig Park.
Until then exchanges had been fairly equal with both sides creating opportunites,
Hearts had a strong penalty claim brushed aside by the whistler when the ball appeared to strike an Eastvale players arm. The deadlock was eventually broken when Mcleod picked out Kirk with a pin-point cross and he steered the ball low past Hearts goalkeeper Pratt and into the of the net from 12 yards.Hearts defensive frailties were then well and truly exposed when Eastvale found the net three times in the space of five minutes Right on half-time hesitancy to clear a free kick into the box was punished when Thomson nipped in to knock the ballinto the net. The second-half was barely a miuate in when it was three Kirk found space down the left before cutting in and firing the ball past Pratt. In the 49th minute the Hearts defence were again all at sea, Mcleod was allowed space to cut the ball back from the bye-line,it found the unmarked Jamie Armitt who had the simple task of glancing a header past the helpless Pratt. Both sides then introduced substitutes but the pattern of play was the same with vale dictating and it was no surprise when they increased their advantage in 77 minutes with Mcleod crashing in an effort which whizzed into the roof of the net from 25 yards. Pratt then made a tremendous one handed save to deny kirk his hat-trick. the 84th minute brought the sixth goal, Prattspilt a low driven free kick from Beaumont and Jamie Allan following up was on the spot to bury the ball into the net from close A minute later Hearts got goal back with substitute Stevie Falconer netting after hesitancy in the Vale defence, but it was no more than a consolation. Hearts were left to lick their wounds as Valemoved to within three points of the top of the league.
